Here is the rest of the porch -- it is a bit messy, but once again -- Look how BIG!!! The area on the right will most likely become the dining area. And the closer area to the left will be the sitting area with folding camp chairs. We can't wait for it to be done. 
A week ago Friday, March 11, the BTI soccer team sponsored a whole school festival (fete in French and Creole). The fete actually started the previous Tuesday afternoon with a 3 day soccer tournament. The different grades at the school played one another in 2 elimination rounds with the final being Thursday evening. That day, the 11th (orange) and 12 (blue) grades faced eachother in the final play off for the school championship. It was a hard and an exciting game, but the 11th grade beat the 12th grade 2 to one! The next day, Friday, there was no school. Just a full day of fun, food, talks, music and dancing!

.... and they had ice cold sodas to drink.
A police officer was invited to the fete to speak to the students about their role in the life of Haiti.
There was also a short foot race at the fete. Panel (in front), BTI's star soccer player, won the race with no trouble! When he got to the turnaround point, he was yards in front of the closest contender!!! Barb says that he has springs in his legs!!!
This is last year's team from Fort Myers and Cape Coral Florida. Left to right they are Bill Peshta, Rosie Hetman, Sarah, Rick and Diane Brock, Annie Peshta and June and Wayne Phillips. This year's team will be a bit smaller. Rosie, Annie, June and Wayne and a new visitor to HAFF, Rosemary will be arriving tomorrow. I will try to do some blogging while they are here, but it may be a bit hectic since we have another team coming 4 days after these folks leave! Keep Rosie, Rosemary, Annie, June and Wayne in prayer as they come and as they spend a week with us.

That is the question that has opened several e-mails from former visiting team members after they saw the blog post about the trees coming down for the dorm porch and kitchen expansion. Yes, indeed, the swing and the swing tree are still there. In this photo, the dorm is to the left and the swing is to the right just off the edge of the photo. 
Tuesday Greg and Zach and their team went to show the Jesus Film at a women's conference in Colladere. That is the cross roads where we turned to go to La Boc in October. You can check out the maps I posted in October to see where it is right at the intersection of Route 3 and the Cerca Carvajal road! When Greg and the team go to show the film, they leave all the "extras" (singing, praying, altar call) up to the pastor of the church where they show the film. These guys go all over the plateau several times a week, week after week all during the months of the dry season. And they don't always get to see the fruit of the ministry. Sometimes the pastor's don't even get to see the fruit! But this time, the Lord blessed them with a taste of the fruit! Four people gave their lives to Christ after seeing the film. Rejoice with us and with the Heavenly Host! (Luke 15:7)
