Rheto Class Trip to the Beach!

Saturday 3 March, 2007, the BTI Rheto class (the 12th grade -- second to the last year of high school) went to the beach at Labadi. The Philo class (13th grade) went the previous Saturday. The students rode the more than 40 miles in the back of HAFF's military transport truck (the deuce and a half) and in the Mitsibishi Canter.
Labadi is the resort on the North Coast of Haiti near Cap Haitien owned by Royal Carribean Cruise Lines.
The students also had the opportunity to ride a water taxi to the nearby village of Labadi. The only way to get to Labadi village is by foot or water!
The students had a good trip -- the only problem all day was 2 flat tires on the deuce which they had repaired in St Raphael on the way to the beach. Posted by Picasa

Connie, it's so wonderful to see your students enjoying R&R on a beautiful coastline! I think all of us have a deep desire to be connected to God's creation - and the beach & ocean is creation in all of its glory. I'm glad it was a good day.
