Refugees

Thank you so much everyone who has been writing in and wanting to help. We are doing fine and keeping busy. We hope to be posting some information to the blogs and to the website and sending it out to churches and supporters about what our game plan is going to be. In the mean time, just please know that we are well and meeting with other missions in the area and with community leaders to find out what the needs are and where we can help.

Also, so far, in our area, the refugees returning are coming to family. We understand that Pignon is getting some folks who are not from this area, but so far that has not been a need in the Bohoc LaJeune area. That might change, or it might not.

Please, right now, continue to pray as we meet and figure out strategies for collaboration and combined efforts. We will be in touch as soon as we have plans in place.

Thanks for your concern and eagerness to help. We want to direct that concern and help in the most helpful ways.

Our church is entering in to a time of prayer and fasting. I would suggest that this would be God's intent for the staff at HAFF as well Fasting from food is a great way to find the will of God for our part in His great will for the area in which we are called to serve. This disaster has the great potential for accomplishing much in light of God's will for Haiti - the dissemination of God's great blessing on this island. May we all have the discipline of forgoing food to seek God's face and blessing. It is amazing when God calls our attention how few of us are willing to fast and seek His face! God can even overcome our own personal excuses for not fasting. He has Great pursposes for our lives and ministry!
